See, Jews are famously bad at making money. It's like, if you put all the Jews in the world on an island, you'd have another Haiti and all the world's NGOs couldn't squeeze any prosperity out of it. I'm not saying this to hurt anyone's feelings or to say anything bad about Jewish people. It's just how things are right now, and IMHO the best way to correct things you don't like is to understand exactly how they are right now, so that you know where to focus efforts.
So, back to 'jewbal' and 'jewing': the Goons are mocking Jewish underachievement, making light of it, just like The Mittani made light of that poor guy's problems. They must be stopped! It's an extremely hurtful thing, to highlight what a people are bad at. Next thing you know they'll be calling people 'Kenyans' because they're so good at running away, in mockery of world efforts to get the morbidly obese of that country (no offense) to get some exercise in.
I know I touched on some sensitive topics here, but I hope I contributed to the thread, and did something to support the OP's complaint.

actually, this whole thread reminds me of that picture on tumblr that went around.... black athlete with "niger" written on their top. naturally holier than thou types were all "you can't put that on their top" to which they found the reply that it was indeed, an athlete from the country niger. |

it's still just people producing tears for the sake of producing tears.
the thing is, people are just looking at what an individual word means and start crying about it rather than looking at the context of the entire scentence/paragraph/article/whatever. the simple fact is when some one glances at a sentence and sees "jew" "jewing" etc, they instantly know it's about making isk where as just isk alone has a multitude of meanings. when you're in the game, nobody gives a toss if you're as white as milk, as black as the ace of spades, or pray in the direction of mecca 5 times a day, people just don't care about that. hence it leaves these kind of words free to use in a totally different context. the simple thing is, the use of the word/phrase in this context allows people to convey more information in a more efficient way. that in itself really isn't a need to start crying.
infact, a few months ago my friend said to me "ever since i started working i've been really jewish with my money" i instantly knew he'd been spending less and saving more and it was faster for him to say that because it just conveyed more information to me without him explaining his entire financial situation to me.
then again i'm just bitter and think all religion should be banned because it's ******* moronic, but there we go. |
